Week 61

Hej på er!! This was the week of ~bread~ !! Bought normal bread at the store, then a loaf from the bakery, then made foccia, and then rolls. Consequantly it was a wonderful week. We put in some fun finding hours this week. One of the areas was about 45 minutes away but we had plans to meet some members there so we did a whole Märsta day.  Let me just say, the people did not expect us with open arms. Don't know what I was expecting, but after 30 minutes of solid rejection me and Sys Daines were just giggling with how funny it was.  I remembered a scripture I had read that morning: And the place where it is my will that you should tarry, for the main, shall be signalized unto you by the peace and power of my Spirit, that shall flow unto you. We both felt peace, and kept going. Eventually this guy walked up to US and said "Oj nej, missionärerna!" And we immediately started talking to him.  Turns out he met with the missionaries 30 years ago in Märsta. His mom had just p...

Week 60

Tjena!!  Long time no see We had a wonderful week, lots of tender mercies.  We also woke up to the following message from Olivia: "Hello my name is Olivia and I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" The amount of pure joy, let's talk about this baptism  Got to the church at 7 am to start filling up the font, then we went home to get ready and finish last-minute details.  Then we got a message from our bishop, saying that the water was to hot last time and to try to make it cooler.  So then we went right back to the church to turn down the temperature. After turning it all the way down I touched the water to see how hot it was, and it was ICE COLD.  So I waded into the water to feel the water coming in, ice cold.  Ran with soaking wet feet to the kitchen to check the water there, ice cold.  Went to the bathroom, ice cold.  SO without further thought we start boiling all the water we could, hoping it would make a diffe...

Week 59

Hej på er! We had 2 sets of AMAZING splits with the Malmö and Norrland stls this week, so we're rocking with a Wednesday pday yay!!  So much has happened this week.  We decided to make a post on Facebook and offer to go and pick peoples apples and it worked like a charm. We spent part of our day Saturday picking apples and getting to know people om the beautiful Island of Ekerö - and we just knew a miracle would come, and it did! The rain stopped just before we visited the last house on our list, and their cousins are members of the church! We had a wonderful conversation with them, and I found my dream place to live.  (Side note, we now have 1,000 apples HELP) On splits yesterday we headed out around lunch time to catch the bus to a lesson, and we waved and said hi to the first person we saw, and she immediately said "you guys are so kind, why?" We told her about our hope in Christ, her sister has met the missionaries before, and we walked and talked with her for 30 minu...

Week 58

Hej! So many miracles this week! To start off - Phillip got baptized :) We started teaching him about 3 months ago and when he came up out of the water yesterday he put his hands in the air, and he had the brightest sparkle in his eyes.  To make things even better, our friend Conny who got baptized about 5 weeks ago spoke at his baptism. And Phillips mom came and said she is coming back! Needless to say our hearts were filled with pure joy yesterday. I'm SO thankful to be a missionary.  Another story: At 8 pm we had a sudden desire to buy something for Phillip for his baptism, but everything closes early in Sweden haha, except this one random mall, so we grabbed our stuff and headed over there super quick.  We're looking at the socks in H&M (because we are both AWFUL at gift giving haha) and there was this nice looking guy right there and my thought process went something like this: "He looks nice. Dang it, that means I'm gonna get a prompting, now I have to ask hi...

Week 57!

Hej på er!! There is SO much that happened this week, I literally cannot even process it all.  The amount of general conference miracles we had? Uncanny.  We told our friends to watch conference with a question in mind and  we promised then that it would be like god was speaking directly to them. And it happened. To every one of them! The craziest one was this - our friend that we've been teaching for 3 months fasted and came with the question about if he should get baptized or not, and he felt a directed answer that he needed to show God he was willing, and that God was leaving him.  So with that, he set a date for this Sunday! So proud of him. I too know that God is leading him.  Other highlights: - printed off 30 sheet of the same bingo card (think about that) - cut my hair at 10:45 pm  - somehow have about 20 Apples (doesn't even compared to my families 270 Bananas)  - planned and executed the SICKEST star wars party, including blue milk  - pi...
