Week 33

Image
Hej på er!!  Currently sitting on a sheet in our front yard, just soaking up all the sun  Love it here.  So something fun I was reminded of this week: YOU CANNOT PREACH WHAT YOU DON'T LIVE  I mean like duh, enough said?? But it was a lesson for me this week. How many times have I told someone to trust in the Lord on my mission? Uncountable.  But we had this big devotional we were planning and details kept on falling through and people canceling etc etc... and I realized I had such a clear choice: have faith or don't.  Super simple, but I heard someone quote the scripture "var inte rädd, ändas tro" 1000x this week. I think Heavenly Father had something for me to learn.  And ya know what?? The devotional was fantastic! The spirit was strong and smiles were all around.  God provides!! Here are some fun highlights from this week: - Made blueberry pancakes for Syster Lauder's 2 months  - Went and saw all the cherry blossoms in kungsträdgården...

Glad påsk  This week was a straight grind all day everyday !! So many little miracles and laughs !!  I think it's important to let you all know that I bought silly bands on Monday just because I can. Thank you.  Went on a walk with this guy we've been trying to meet for 3 months, and even the weather pulled up. It was SO good! Lowkey taught the concepts in all of the lessons, he had so many questions and good thoughts about everything... and I was just sitting there thinking "I'm walking around the sea in Stockholm telling this guys how God loves us in Swedish..." life flies by!  Met with one of out sweet friends and after the lesson she said "it always feels so better after we talk about this stuff, I feel so calm and peaceful now." #proof that the spirit is here testifying :)  Met with another sweet friend who we've been teaching for about a month and she said she doesn't feel lost anymore. #Bevis.  We had a guy who wanted to get a book of Morm...

Week 31

Tjena !! Tears were shed saying goodbye to Syster Chandler. My real homie g heading to the coveted land of Örebro... gonna miss that girl.  #she' stherealhardestworkerintheroom Wild things are happening in Gubbängen, just in time to throw my cute new greenie into the middle. She's amazing and sounds like she's been here for weeks. Only downside are that she doesn't like tomatoes... but I'll fix that ;)  Today's email is just going to be funny things and maybe like 1 spiritual thing tehe. Buckle up!  -- On our way to church I was helping Syster Lauder translate her testimony (which she shared like a boss in church) and noticed this lady sitting near us. She had a suitcase with a grocery bag sitting on top. The brakes on the train were slightly tapped and the bag fell to the floor, exposing her cans of beer. And lucky us, one fell on the exact right place to pop open and start spraying, while rolling down the train at exponential speeds, spewing beer at everyone I...

Week 30

Tjena! :)  I cannot believe I've been a missionary for 30 weeks. The feelings rival that of listening to downtown by macklemore in the car with the windows down  I will be staying in Gubbängen again, the promised land, AND I'll be getting a greenie, fresh out of the mtc. I hope this girl knows she's getting someone who stops to pet every dog and eats at least 2 cups of granola a day.  Side note - I ate both a hamburger and a korv in the same day. I hope you're proud of me dad.  Susanne came to conference with a returning member family??? Bore her testimony about the book of mormon?? Also there was a shark-lootery board? #sogood Our sweet friend from Argentina met us for dinner this last week, and when we gave her a Book of Mormon she hugged it and said "I'm so excited to read this." And it reminded me how I should be when I read the book of Mormon, what a great gift it is. Brief exposés: - Moved an entire families apartment in record time to prove to our m...
