Week 37!!

Hej!!  What a beautiful week!!  We saw so many miracles this week and accidentely spent $7 on about 20 cherries this morning. Life is all about balance It was a weekend of covenant making!! There were 2 baptismal services in the Gubbängen Chapel and the spirit was so strong the whole weekend.  These cute kids from this part-member family who we've been working with decided they wanted to get baptized and get the gift of the holy ghost, and it has been an absolute joy working with them.  At the baptism they all started giggling when they went in the water, one by one, and said "we're just so happy!!" Such an amazing experience and one that I'll never forget!  In other words, we had a stake service project where 2 people showed up, 500 sandwiches never sounded like so much to make haha.  I got to see my beautiful mtc companion this weekend (pictured below) and it really got me thinking about how long ago that all was. Life really does move fast. I look b...

Week 36

Tjena!!  I am staying in Gubbängen  That means half of my mission in this area... that's crazy.  This was the most miracle-filled week of my whole mission. Easily.  Monday night we met with this guy who messaged us and said he wanted to talk about Jesus. What he really meant to say was "I wanna know who Adam's parents are and why Mary and God are married." So I left that lesson with a headache haha.  BUT this other guy came up to us during the "lesson", saw our tags, and said "yeah, I wanna know more." So God's hand was definitely in that espresso house :')  On Tuesday we got a call, and it was a sweet member saying her friend wanted to meet us! There are way too many miracles with this appointment to explain them all... so the biggest thing I can say is she read 7 words in the Book of Mormon, and then she couldn't read any more. Tears were streaming down her face and she said "I know it's true."  She also said that before...

Week 35

Tjena! Time for me to get on my soapbox WE ARE PERFECTLY POSITIONED!! This is something I struggled realizing this week! How do I know where to go? What to say? If I'm doing enough?  We did splits up in Borlänge this week, and on our way back we met this sweet man who could speak a tiny bit of Swedish, and was completely lost. We helped him get safely to Stockholm with all of the crazy train issues We sprinted to make a train today, and met a man on it who was interested. Ran into him AGAIN and had a wonderful conversation, left with his contact info that time  Was on a train and started talking to this girl, from ukraine, 18, and has lived here for 1 month. Gave her a Keychain that says "light up the world with love" and she gave us the warmest smile and waved goodbye as we got off  Ate dinner with a less-active member (who made us some BOMB Thai food), and our conversation changed from talk about papaya prices to how she feels far from God in 20 seconds  Walked bac...

Week 34

Hej på er!  Ready for a cool story??  Så that devotional that we had... we commissioned the elders to make "better than anything cake." Easy enough. We have a member we're working with who I knew is off of sugar for health reasons right now, and I knew she would be there. But I just figured we'd figure that out later.  But then as we're sprinting out the door, having literally 2 minutes to get to the train station on our way to the event WE PLANNED, and the clear thought comes to me "Bring a bag of frozen grapes."  But I was like nooooo those are mineeee and we're going to be late. But I gave into the peer pressure and brought them and gave them to her and she was so happy and thanked me a million times and I was like ah #service worth it good feelings.  AND THEN! This same member came to a lesson with us this week, and while talking about tithing, our friend felt unsure, and then this member testifies that God provided and tells the story of how I b...
