Week 46

Okay okay okay... MAJOR second harvest vibes this week.  We taught our friend Conny about faith this week, and we watched it click in his head.  "you mean I just have to see if coming to church is better than going to the soccer game on Sunday? And to just try ordering something else instead of alcohol?"  Yes Conny  He came to church yesterday, and ordered a coke while with his friends. The wonderful thing is, I could see the new light in his eyes. I love that the Gospel inspires change in a way that makes people happier. I'm thankful for his willingness to exercise faith so I could see that.  We got in contact with a sweet older lady this week. She has only had one other visitor all year. We found her Book of Mormon on her book shelf, and she absolutely LIT up when she started reading the things she marked up.  We called her yesterday and she said,  "I've been reading the Book of Mormon a lot. I want to be better."  The gospel inspires change! Th...

Hejsan !  I could write actual SERMONS about this past week. Maybe someday I will  Random notes: - 2 sets of splits with the Malmö and Norrland Sisters. Literally so much fun!  - First zone conference in Norrland on Saturday !! - Asked a worker for a sticker and left with 50 (#stocks). - had an ice cream party at the same time a sister from urkaine tried to come by to get contact with the church, so we were able to help her!!  - Saw a pigeon with a broken wing and was absolutely traumatized.  - Went on a walk in the forest and picked blueberries and Smultron (tiny strawberries) - Said a prayer, knocked on a door, had a 1 hour lesson :') - i told a member once 6 MONTHS AGO that I liked cheesecake and she made one for us yesterday because she remembered  - Played uno on the floor of a train with the elders (classy)  - listened to a couple argue on a train for 30 minutes and then they started talking up chipped beef... please tell me your thoughts on that...

Week 44

Hej på er !!  I learned a lesson about NOT PRANKING this week:  We parked next to a set of elders car at a train station and thought "let's tie ribbon to the handles that would #funny." So we did that. So funny.  AND THEN right as we're leaving this man walks up to his decorated van AND WE SCREAMED it was not the elders van. Rip us, but it was funny!!  My first full week here was awesome and full of so many unique experiences :) We had a day this week where 4 lessons canceled, yet God filled up every minute of that day with someone who needed us, and at the end while we drove on a windy country road we saw a man walking on a beautiful path. So like any normal 19 year old, I steered the car into the ditch, parked, then sprinted after this man.  At the end of our conversation he said "I know that God sent you." Tender.  One more thing -  In Gubbängen we would do sport nights every week and this random family would come and it was always so fun to see the...

Week 43

Tjena mina vänner!!  What a week!! Full of tears, willys bags, and miracles!  I said goodbye to Gubbängen on Thursday! It was strange it didn't really feel like I was leaving, until I started praying before we left. I felt a sudden surge of emotion as I prayed to bless the area and our friends, and my heart really hurt as we left. But I know it's in good hands. I'm gonna miss that place!  Thankfully, I'm only about 30 minutes away now! In an area with a car, I drove for the first time in 9 months... their roundabouts here have 2 lanes going around so the cars braid together as they turn if that makes sense? Pure chaos!!  Anyways:  Pulled into a gas station, started talking to Kofi (Coffee). Super nice. So excited that we were from the states, he's from Chicago! Turns out he's read part of the Book of Mormon before, and when I asked him what he thought, he said without hesitating "That it was true, it was the Word of God. I just moved here, I need someone to...
