Week 21 :)

Hejsan!  Some pretty incredible things happened this week, and I know I say that every week but ESPECIALLY this week!  Lets start with a few funny things:  - Our week started out with a trip to a grocery store to serve a member. She just had a little boy (pictured below), who is so cute, but since she has to take the train 45 minutes to get there it can be a lot, so we went with her. I don't know how to explain this store we went to... maybe like if Dollar Tree had produce? Random things everywhere, chaos, a pigs head in the meat section?? The cucumbers were squishy... but we found some peanut M&M's, so honestly worth it.  - Had a lesson with some new people... they said they were communists and asked what we thought about Kanye West. TBH one of the most out-of-body experiences ever.  - Syster Chandler is also afraid of spiders... so I have the great honor to kill them now, except turns out I am really bad at it. I tried like 10 times and he got away. That w...

Week 20

Wowwww... 20 weeks serving God :') I have seen some really amazing things happen this week, so let's jump right in.  We met 2 new friends on Facebook this week. We met with one of them and let me tell ya, this guy had QUESTIONS. For 90 minutes me and my sweet comp sat drinking our hot cocoa answering questions from the 10 commandments to temples to our purpose here on earth. I talk about Swedish a lot, but it's because I've been focusing so much on it... but somehow by SOME miracle we were able to answer every question he had together. At the end he said he's ready to see if God exsits and what the truth is. A missionary's dream sentence  Our second friend saw one of our posts and reached out to us, we met and turns out he was baptized 10 years ago but fell away from the church and has lost his faith, but said he's ready to come back... he said he felt at home in church and he missed that. Another dream sentence  Me and my darling comp spoke in church yester...

Week 19

Hejsan!! I am back in Gubbängen  Sitting on the train on my way to Stockholm watching the sunrise >>> We don't get holidays as missionaries, but that 3 hours sure felt like one.  My new comp sister Chandler is amazing ! she likes to run ! she is a spiritual giant !  We went over to our friend Susanne's house last night... I was so happy to see her again! It's crazy how close I feel to the people I have met here... God's love really brings us together <3 I realized at Susanne's how crazy it is that I'm here. I met her for the first time when I had been here for 3 days. And now, at my 19 week mark, I was in the same place, but she is not the same person.  The truthfulness of the restored gospel has completely changed her life! You can see it in her countenance! In her home! In her habits! How lucky am I to continue to watch her come closer to Jesus Christ :)  To celebrate our last day together Syster Osguthorpe and I bought some garlic bread to enjoy. ...

Week 18

Tjena! I can't can't wait to type this jaja... I got the news that I'm heading back to Gubbängen on Friday. That's right... same area... after 4 weeks! I could not be more excited to see everyone again, but it's also crazy how quickly I have grown to love everyone here.  This also means that I have to pack everything up again and haul it to Stockholm... my blister from last transfer just healed  ANYWAYS...  This was another fantastic week! I felt something lacking in my missionary service this week, and I had some crazy encounters with this scripture -  "Wherefore, my beloved brethren,  pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love , which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him,  for we shall see him as he is ; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen" - Moroni 7...

Week 17

God fortsättning!  This week was full of ups and downs. But mostly ups.  While watching the fireworks on new years I felt the spirit say something to me so clearly:  "You don't have to wait to change."  I pondered that this weekend. How lucky am I to know that I don't have to wait until the new year to change. The atonement of Jesus Christ makes it possible for me to be better everyday, in every aspect of my life!  I can repent every day, I can become more like Christ everyday.  I am so thankful for that reminder from my Heavenly Father.  One of our friends is on date to be baptized! We started teaching him when I got here and he is such an amazing example to me.  Just yesterday when he came to church he told me that he had a headache that morning and didn't want to come, but he decided to say a prayer, and he felt the Holy Ghost tell him that he needed to come, so he did. When he walked into the building his headache went away.  Heavenly Fat...
