Week 53

OKEJ WAIT WAIT WAIT!

I got set apart as missionary 1 year ago today, how on earth did that happen?

Conny got baptized over the weekend! After he got the Holy Ghost he said "jag känner mig starkare." "I feel stronger."

We also had 6 of our investigators there to witness this, there was such a sweet spirit in the Chapel.

And then of course, to celebrate we took Conny to eat Waffles with Pablo! It was a perfect Saturday afternoon.

Conny's story can be easily compared to kintsugi - he had cracks, even cracks from the gospel before. But with the help of a deeper understanding of the atonement, those cracks were not just fixed or repaired, they were restored (helaman 12:23-24). Filled with gold and sealed to make the cracks not only stronger, but more beautiful.

(Ps. Shoutout to all of you College kids starting up. I have to do mental math and split our grocery bill in half every other week and my brain literally cannot do that längre tehe. #econmajor)

Things I did to celebrate life this week:

- defrosted our freezer for 2 hours
- ate the same meal of yogurt, peanut butter and granola every day (we have $0)
- RAN A HALF MARATHON
- Started teaching björn. He made the following joke: "Mina föräldrar kallades oss för sista Dagars helige för att allting gjordes sista minuten." "My parents always called us the holy last days (Latter Day Saints) because everything was always done in the last minute." He read to alma 60 in 1 week
- bought a basil plant
- did a plank with my comp to the song "book of mormon stories", so funny in the moment.
- street contacted a guy who immediately said "Yes I want the book", amazing.
- showed up to lunch with a member, it was a bowl of shrimp. I loved it- my comp did not enjoy ripping off the heads haha.

I am so thankful that I've been able to serve the lord for the past year, and I look forward to the next 6 months with eagerness and joy!

Kram på er!
