Week 41

Hej på er !! 

We met with this sweet member this week, and you know what she told me? 

"I am rich." 

But she didn't mean money, social status, or anything like that. She meant because of the knowledge she has that God and Jesus Christ live, and that they lead us today. 

I too am rich. I had a lot of rich experiences this week. 

We were on the train Tuesday night, and I heard the song "There is Sunshine in My Soul Today" start playing very quietly. I gave my companion the look of "turn your phone down", and kept talking on the phone. 2 minutes later we got of the train and the song was still playing, and I look at my companion again, and she points to the man ahead who is fumbling with his headphones, trying to get them in. I ended that call SO fast and sprinted to catch up to him. And just like that, this man who hasn't been to church in 35 years, got contact again. 

Ps - he has listened to the hymns everyday since then. Wow. Divine inspiration that the headphones didn't work haha. 

I am rich. 

Sat down on the train, made eye contact with this sweet old man, moved seats to talk to him and heard my sweet companion talking with this other girl. We get off the train with numbers of people who want to visit church. Talk about perfectly positioned. 

I am rich. 

Had a member meal with a sister who just moved here from Columbia. Through very broken Spanish I learn she was here at our friends baptism in February, and remembers when we sang peace in christ. She got baptized a few weeks ago and her testimony touched my heart. 

I am rich. 

We were in a lesson talking about prayer, and I had the clear thought to show the Hear Him video by Jeffrey R. Holland. As the video played, each point he said we had talked about. I haven't seen that video in years. I was shook. Got out of the lesson and my companion said "I was thinking about that video this morning". The spirit was working the both of us today.

I am rich. 

We went to drop something off to our friend who is struggling right now, and we got there the same time as her. We were able to minister to her. God knew. 

I am rich. 

I love you all! Don't forget all of the blessings you have been given, and all of the knowledge you have, and most importantly, your OWN experiences with deity. We are indeed rich.
