Week 14

Hejsan!!

I always have a story to tell about being where the Lord needs me, so that's going first, and THEN something funny and weird, and THEN you can look at the photos... no cheating ;)

It all starts like this: we're running late to a lesson, have no idea where the bus stop is, have 2 bags of candy in our hands from some wonderful members, and the bus leaves in 2 minutes. As we ran down the hill I said a silent prayer that we would make it to the bus so we could meet our cute friend. Like a miracle in a movie, we caught the bus as it was rolling away. We got on and I said a silent prayer of thanks that we had made it. Unfortunately in all of our speediness, we failed to notice that it was the wrong bus. #nailedit.

SO naturally I'm a little bummed, but pretty much immediately I realize that we are always where we're supposed to be (something I've been working on having faith in lately). While we were standing up in the bus trying to figure out Google Maps, I noticed a bag of spilled candy all over. Inspired by a wonderful story from some missionaries here (also common sense), I bent down to pick it all up.

The lady sitting right there started talking to me as I knelt down, and I immediately knew why we took the wrong bus.

She told us about how her husband passed away 2 years ago, how it was her first day of work, how she was tired, and how Jesus Christ has helped her.

This is a lot of information from anyone, but for a Swede it is a LOT of information. We were able to immediately minister to her as best we could. I feel so touched that I was able to be there.

OKAY! Here are some funny / weird things:

- I use a fire extinguisher for weights every morning. #smallgubbängenapartmentlife
- People ask for us to go on walks with them even though it's 8° out and they have a 2 month old. Unreal.
- We set off the Church's alarm for 5 solid minutes.
- WE GOT 26 NEW MISSIONARIES!! (Not funny or weird, just swag)
- I ate beet sauce pasta? Idk at least it wasn't potatoes.
- We listed a TV on Facebook marketplace for a member for 300kr ($30) and have 100 messages for it

Anyways, it is with a heavy heart that I say it's my last week here in Gubbängen:(

We don't have enough Sisters, so we have to say goodbye. So I'm headed to the other side of the country to Göteborg! I am happy to stay in a big city, and will be praying everyday for the wonderful people I have met here

I love you all! Thank you for your support! Remember to keep lighting the world. Let me know if you need the advent calendar! (It has something simple we can do everyday to spread light!)
