Week 12 (One Month In Sweden?!)
Hej hej!
These weeks are going by wayyyyyy too fast. I've already been in Sweden for a month, that doesn't feel real at all to me. I cannot express enough how thankful I am to be here :)
We taught S the restoration of the Church this week, AND HER SON CAME TOO! She made us homemade deserts again and herbal tea that had flowers in it. She is so precious. We had a sister from our ward come to the lesson, and at the end of the lesson S mentioned how she was going to go visit her mom in the hospital because she's fighting lung cancer right now. Our dear friend said that her father passed away a year about from lung cancer. It was small and simple, but I saw how she was able to comfort S in a way we wouldn't have been able to. Heavenly Father is definitely watching out for her.
We had a lunch fall through this week, and 10 minutes after it did we got a text from one of our friends asking if we could meet then. My jaw almost touched the floor. You see, this happens EVERY TIME!! I have come to the conclusion that when you're doing your best, you are exactly where the Lord needs you to be. We drank a ton of hot chocolate together and talked about finding peace during our trials. I asked her if Jesus had helped her through her struggles and she said "självklart" (obviously). Silly me! Her faith and desire to be close to God touched me deeply.
We went to Skansen last Monday. All of the ward members and people we have met here told us that we had to go and do it- that it was the best thing to do in Stockholm... it must have been because it's winter so half of it was closed... but it was the equivalent to the furniture museum in Lagoon. We got some Nauvoo vibes too?? Not sure what we were supposed to do, BUT we found a giant dollahest doll that we climbed on which was fun, and we got to see some monkeys. #worthit
ANYWAYS Christmas is coming!! Light the World is starting! EVERYONE should click on the next link, it takes you to calendar that had a way everyday during December of how you can light the world! Let's spread some of Christ's love and Christmas cheer eller hur? :)
