A Cucumber Almost Won

Hej mina vänner!

 

 

You'd think it would be more than a few days before you heard from me, but my preparation day is on Wednesdays, so it's your lucky day ;) 

 

 

THE HOME MTC IS AWESOME! If you are going to be serving a mission soon, and are worried about it, DON'T! I have felt the spirit so much and feel a great connection with my district, it really shows me that this is exactly where the Lord wants me to be. 

 

 

My companion, syster Daines, is incredible. She read the entire Harry Potter series in 8 days. EIGHT!! She also is AMAZING at Swedish and pushes me so much! I love her. 

 

 

In a devotional last night, Elder Bednar said "I am so sick of hearing people say 'You are the chosen generation, you have been saved for these last days.' It's true, but when you pick up a stick, you get BOTH ends. Know that Heavenly Father has a special purpose for you, but know that means it's going to be hard work, be ready to work." I'm not going to lie, I was a little shocked to hear that, but how true is it? Now is not the time for me to get casual about inviting people to come to Christ, even if it seems difficult while being at home. 

 

 

Right before a class, my lovely slice of cucumber decided to take flight down my throat. My poor dogs were so scared, and honestly I was too. I was coughing an absurd amount, and my camera was on, just waiting to expose my poor eating abilities to the whole MTC. After a few minutes, I stopped coughing and my face faded from the bright red it was. Then, class started (a few minutes late). I have never been so thankful for technical difficulties. 

 

 

I love the restored gospel of Jesus Christ with my whole heart. I know that God lives, that he guides us, and that he listens. He has our best interests at heart, no matter what. 

 

 

I love you all so much! I have felt an outpouring of love and support this week, thank you :)
